Australia Day 2015
Around 70 Dunkley residents will formalise their citizenship on Australia Day this year through Australian Citizenship Ceremonies held in Frankston and Rosebud.
Congratulations to all of those citizens for choosing Australia as their country, for putting their hearts and hopes into our shared future, and for selecting our wonderful electorate as their home.
I will be attending both of the ceremonies for Dunkley residents held in Frankston City and Mornington Peninsula Shire and look forward to witnessing them make the Pledge of Commitment as well as celebrating our national day with local residents.
In these busy times, a sense of community and home is more important than ever.
I hope Dunkley citizens enjoy their Australia Day weekend spending time with family and friends, attending one of the community events around the electorate and ‘shopping small and locally’.
For me, the Australia Day weekend also represents the lead up to the Parliamentary sitting year, and I look forward to working hard representing the interests of the people of Dunkley to build a strong economy and create jobs for our community.
